Save the Manatee Club

In her young adult years, Martha had an experience where she got to swim with manatees. The joy and wonder she felt that day, as well as the sadness when she learned how they are harmed through the actions of humans, had a lasting affect. During a later visit to Florida, she met with and became a support of the Save the Manatee Club, judging that their actions and goals were aligned with her own love of these sweet, aquatic creatures.
